Note Burning Celebration
In June of 1985, in the home of Fred and Ann Jordan, Tommy Lee plus ten other people gathered for the first worship service of Outer Banks Baptist Church. The faithfullness that was established at that time was rewarded when on Sunday, December 19, 2010 Ann Jordan and Tommy Lee burned a bank note. The burning of the bank note symbolizing the end of the church's indebtedness. Mr. Jordan, although not there in body was truly there in spirit.
Throughout the church's twenty-five years, names of the congregation members have changed except for Mrs. Jordan and Mr. Lee, but the abiding faith in God has always remained.

"Study to Show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
